A unique experience for individuals & families to incubate chicken or duck eggs at home. Small classes can experience Hatchery Learning visits at school with all the support & resource materials provided to promote positive experiences for everyone.
The Hatchery
Through the support of The Backyard Farmer in Bodden Town, the Homestead BirdHatchery helps create unique opportunities for families, children, animal enthusiasts and anyone looking to explore the special experience of hatching chicken or duck eggs at home. All of our hatchlings have a home at The Backyard Farmer (and select farm homes) where they are cared for daily with food, water and lots of attention from visitors throughout the island.
